Connect to OpenAI

What you will need

• Workforce Intelligence access with the Tempo Workforce Intelligence Admin Jira global permission

• An OpenAI Admin API key (requires the Organization Owner role)

Step 1: Create a read-only Admin API key in OpenAI

For details on Admin API keys, see OpenAI's Admin API Keys documentation.

1. Sign in to the OpenAI Platform and navigate to Admin Keys.

2. Select Create new Admin Key and give it a name (for example, "Workforce Intelligence Integration").

3. Set the permissions to Restricted and grant Read access to the Management API and Usage API scopes.

4. Select Create Admin Key.

5. Copy the key and store it securely. OpenAI does not display the key again after creation.

Step 2: Configure the connection in Workforce Intelligence

1. In Workforce Intelligence, go to Settings | Connectors.

2. Look for the OpenAI API connector and click Connect.

3. Enter your admin API key. Select Verify & connect.

Once your API has been verified and connected, the system will automatically pull the last 90 days of OpenAI data.
